I'm so excited to be announcing holiday mini sessions THIS coming Saturday, October 19th! Mini sessions are perfect for updating your annual family photo, getting to know a new photographer, or even capturing great images to use as gifts (in this case, in time for using for your holiday cards, too!). Don't forget to sign up for my email newsletter below to get first dibs on all future mini sessions!
These mini sessions will be held in a beautiful location in the Snoqualmie River Valley, which is Indigenous Snoqualmie territory.
This newborn photoshoot was a dream...so many sweet moments capturing the tender new beginnings of a brand new family, and, of course, many adorable looks and gurgles from sweet Baby Kai. What a beautiful thing, I think, for a baby to be surrounded by so much love! Having worked as a birth and postpartum doula for years, I have always loved working with new families; it is an honor to be invited into such a space, and to provide a service that can help to celebrate and honor such an important time in a family's life. A Full Storytelling Session is a great way to get the most out of your newborn photoshoot; it allows time to capture many natural and candid moments, giving everyone a chance to tend to their needs and getting a true glimpse into "a day in the life" for you and your newborn. Don't pass up the opportunity to invest in newborn photography now while your littles are still little, as features change quickly!
...and yes, if you have doggos or other family pets, I will definitely include them in your newborn photoshoot as well! ❤
Part of the reason I love working with small business owners on self-promotion and their marketing goals is that I hold a deep understand of what a commitment it is to grow a business. So much time, thought, energy and more goes into getting a business off the ground, investing in your brand, working and reworking your offerings, and truly valuing your customers. For this business storytelling session, I was lucky enough to catch a little behind-the-scenes "sneak peek" of founder and proprietor Karyn Schwartz opening up shop this beautiful morning. Centrally located in Seattle's colorful Capitol Hill neighborhood (indigenous Duwamish tribal land), SugarPill is an exquisitely curated herbal, culinary and mercantile apothecary. It really is an amazing space; your spirits and palate will thank you for visiting!
Documenting personal events is truly a joy: I love getting to meet and be around so many different people, but I especially love being able to be a fly-on-the-wall, and capture moments as they happen. It's an honor to be invited into people's lives for these special celebrations - capturing this little girl's outdoor first birthday party was no exception. I am thankful to be doing this work, and most especially if it helps other people be more in-the-moment during their own events, interacting more face-to-face instead of needing to also document everything. Memories are precious; so is time well spent in good company!
Photographing working farms is one of my very favorite things... why?? I greatly appreciate the opportunity to work with other small business owners (having been one myself the past six years), and I especially love working with others who value people, and the planet. I hold a deep respect for the people who grow and produce the food that graces our table (and feeds our bellies). Besides, there is possibly nothing more adorable than getting to follow around baby goats on an early morning in the spring, at one of my favorite places. Enjoy a few of these shots from Growing Things Farm, a Certified Naturally Grown farm nestled in the beautiful Snoqualmie Valley (indigenous Snoqualmie tribal land), and a huge shout out to farmer Michaele, as well!
